The pre-launch of your podcast can be effectively done by promoting your 1-2 minute trailer. Why promote a trailer?
- Because it’s a great way to reel people in.
- And asking for people’s 1-2 minutes is not a big ask.
Here’s a simple step-by-step process you can follow and tick off as you do this.
- [ ] Make a list of friends and family (increase the rows if you have a longer list)
- [ ] Reach out to them and tell them to check your trailer. Include your Spotify or Apple Podcast link, and ask them to listen and subscribe.
- [ ] To your nearest and dearest friends and family, ask for reviews on Podchaser, Apple, and Spotify to build credibility.
- [ ] List of 15-20 bloggers, websites, and magazines and their emails in your domain. Pro-tip: Use HARO or Google to look for them.
